The PolyChip Process

Inspection/Moisture Test

Inspection/Moisture Test

Inspection/Moisture Test

Concrete moisture test. Preparation for concrete resurfacing.

We begin with a comprehensive evaluation of your concrete surface, checking for structural integrity and conducting moisture tests. This critical first step ensures your new floor will have proper adhesion and longevity, preventing future issues like bubbling or delamination.

Preparation/Grinding

Inspection/Moisture Test

Inspection/Moisture Test

Grinding concrete surface before installing of garage floor system.

We use a professional diamond grinding process to remove old coatings, surface contaminants, and properly open the concrete pores. This creates the optimal surface profile for superior coating adhesion, helping ensure a durable, long-lasting concrete floor coating that will not peel, chip, or separate.

Repairs/Crack Treatments

Inspection/Moisture Test

Repairs/Crack Treatments

Repair concrete cracks to create a smooth surface. Improves durability and appearance of floor.

We repair concrete cracks, spalling, and surface damage using specialized materials designed to create a smooth, even substrate. This critical concrete surface repair process helps prevent cracks and imperfections from showing through the finished coating, improving both durability and appearance of your PolyChip floor.

Base

Chip Broadcast

Repairs/Crack Treatments

Installation of polyurea base coat. This is a premium high performance material superior to epoxy.

The base coat application establishes the foundation color and initial seal for your new floor system. This high-performance polyurea base coat creates a strong, seamless bond with the prepared concrete, providing exceptional durability, adhesion, and impact resistance.

Chip Broadcast

Chip Broadcast

Chip Broadcast

Broadcast of PolyChip garage floor flakes. 100% coverage to create a uniform, slip-resistant finish.

Next, we broadcast decorative flakes 100% to refusal, ensuring complete and even coverage across the wet polyurea base coat. This full broadcast method helps mask surface imperfections while creating a uniform color, texture, and slip-resistant finish. We do not use low-quality, inconsistent, or lightly scattered flake applications that can lead to uneven appearance and reduced durability.

Top Coat

Chip Broadcast

Chip Broadcast

Application of Polyaspartic top coat on garage floor. Superior to epoxy garage floor systems.

The clear polyaspartic top coat acts as the protective layer of your concrete floor coating system. This high-performance finish delivers superior resistance to stains, chemicals, UV damage, abrasion, and everyday wear, while creating a long-lasting, high-gloss decorative surface.
